The Dark Storm Variant 1 non‑NFA firearm, also known as an "other" offers high‑performance AR platform capability in a compact format ideal for tactical use, personal defense, and range versatility
Built on a precision matched billet receiver set, the Variant 1 features competition performance and combat reliability. The Tungsten Cerakote finish over the detail rich design by Ed Earle makes the Variant 1 stand out in a drown of boring black guns. The Variant 1 includes partial ambidextrous controls and a versatile 11.5" M‑Lok handguard for mounting a variety of accessories. The SOCOM profile 12.5" barrel minimizes overall length while maintaining reliability with a carbine length gas system. On the front end an expansion chamber based Competition Compensator nearly eliminates muzzle rise and felt recoil. The Variant 1 includes a Magpul MOE front vertical grip and an SB Tactical SBA brace for rock solid control in any conditions.
