DS-15 Receiver Swap: Fixed Magazine to Standard Lower
If you originally purchased a DS-15 Fixed Magazine Rifle or Lower Receiver while living in a restricted state, and have since moved to a state where standard configurations are legal, Dark Storm Industries offers a discounted receiver swap program.
Program Eligibility:
- Original purchaser of a DS-15 Fixed Magazine Lower or Rifle
- Now residing in a non-restricted state
- Valid driver's license from your current state
How It Works:
- Purchase the Lower Receiver Swap product for your appropriate color and model (sold above)
- Ship your stripped lower receiver to the address below, signature required
- Include your swap order number and a copy of your new state's driver's license
We will return a new DS-15 Standard Lower directly to the address on your submitted identification, signature required. No FFL is needed.
Shipping Restrictions:
We will only accept stripped lower receivers for this program. Should you need us to strip and reassemble your lower please add the disassemble/reassemble lower option to your purchase and only send in your lower receiver not your full firearm.

Lower Swap Program – Eligibility and Limitations
The Dark Storm Industries Lower Swap Program allows customers who relocate from restrictive states to request a swap from a fixed magazine lower receiver to a standard detachable magazine lower by placing a Lower Swap order and submitting proof of new residency.
Submission of a Lower Swap order does not guarantee eligibility for the program. All swap requests are reviewed after the order is received and verified against the serial number provided.
Please note the following program limitations:
- The Lower Swap Program applies only to currently supported lower receiver models.
- Discontinued receiver models are not eligible for the swap program and will not be replaced.
- Dark Storm Industries has transitioned from colored anodized finishes to Cerakote production finishes. Replacement lowers will be issued only in the current production finish available at the time the swap is processed and may not match the original finish or color of the submitted receiver.
- Eligibility for the swap program is determined solely by Dark Storm Industries based on the submitted serial number and documentation.
If a submitted serial number corresponds to a discontinued or unsupported model, the swap request may be denied and the order refunded.
