DS-15 Receiver Swap: Fixed Magazine to Standard Lower

If you originally purchased a DS-15 Fixed Magazine Rifle or Lower Receiver while living in a restricted state and have since moved to a state where a standard detachable-magazine configuration is permitted, Dark Storm Industries offers a discounted receiver swap program for eligible customers.

The program allows qualifying original owners to exchange an eligible fixed magazine lower receiver for a current-production DS-15 Standard Lower after residency and serial-number verification.

Program Eligibility

• Original purchaser of a DS-15 Fixed Magazine Lower or Rifle
• Currently residing in a state where the standard replacement configuration is permitted
• Valid driver's license or identification showing your current residence
• Lower receiver model and serial number must be eligible under the current DSI swap program

How It Works

• Purchase the appropriate Lower Receiver Swap option for your model and available finish.
• Ship your stripped lower receiver to Dark Storm Industries using the address below. Signature-required shipping is recommended.
• Include your swap order number and a copy of your current-state driver's license or identification.
• DSI will review the submitted receiver, serial number, and documentation to confirm program eligibility.

Once approved and processed, Dark Storm Industries will return the replacement DS-15 Standard Lower directly to the address shown on the submitted identification, signature required. No FFL is needed for an eligible replacement processed through this program.

Shipping Requirements

Only stripped lower receivers will be accepted for this program. Do not ship a complete firearm.

If you need Dark Storm Industries to disassemble and reassemble your lower, add the disassemble/reassemble lower option to your purchase before shipping. Only the lower receiver should be sent to DSI.

Eligibility and Program Limitations

Submission of a Lower Swap order does not guarantee eligibility. Every request is reviewed after the order is received and verified against the submitted serial number and documentation.

• The Lower Swap Program applies only to currently supported lower receiver models.
• Discontinued or unsupported receiver models are not eligible for replacement through the program.
• Dark Storm Industries has transitioned from colored anodized finishes to Cerakote production finishes. Replacement lowers will be supplied in the current production finish available when the swap is processed and may not match the original receiver's finish or color.
• Program eligibility is determined by Dark Storm Industries based on the submitted serial number and required documentation.

If a submitted serial number corresponds to a discontinued or unsupported model, the swap request may be denied and the order refunded.
