At Dark Storm Industries, we don’t rely on workarounds—we engineer solutions. Our Fixed Magazine Stripped Lower Receivers are purpose-built to meet the letter of the law in all restricted states, including New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington, and California.

These lowers are not AR-15s in the eyes of the law. Because there is no magazine release milled into the receiver, this design is:

• Not a copy, duplicate, or variant of any existing AR-style lower
• Legal under the definitions found in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Washington, Illinois, and other restricted states

The design was patented and launched specifically to address the legal frameworks established in states like New York under the SAFE Act of 2013 and other similarly structured bans. We have successfully manufactured and sold these receivers since then.

Despite its compliance-driven design, this lower maintains the same look, feel, and parts compatibility as our standard DS-15, preserving the familiar AR-15 manual of arms.
