DS-15 & DS-25 Non-NFA Firearms

Dark Storm Industries Non-NFA Firearms, often referred to as “Other Firearms,” are purpose-built DS-15 and DS-25 configurations designed to provide a compact, modular platform without being configured as a conventional rifle or pistol. DSI Non-NFA Firearms use a 12.5-inch barrel, vertical forward grip, no shoulder stock, and an overall length greater than 26 inches.

Under their intended federal configuration, DSI Non-NFA Firearms are designed to fall outside the classifications of a short-barreled rifle and an Any Other Weapon under the National Firearms Act. This provides a compact firearm configuration without the NFA registration process associated with a short-barreled rifle.

DSI offers Non-NFA Firearms across multiple DS-15 and DS-25 platforms, giving customers a range of configurations, components, and features while maintaining the defining characteristics of the Non-NFA platform.

DSI currently offers Non-NFA configurations for customers in unrestricted jurisdictions as well as New Jersey and Delaware, where permitted under DSI's current compliance determination.

Non-NFA Configuration & State Availability

A DSI Non-NFA Firearm is not equipped with a shoulder stock and is not configured as a rifle. It incorporates a vertical forward grip for two-handed operation and has an overall length greater than 26 inches, distinguishing the DSI configuration from firearms regulated as Any Other Weapons under the NFA.

DSI does not currently offer this configuration for sale in Massachusetts, New York, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington State, or Washington, D.C. State and local firearm laws can change, and customers should confirm that the configuration is permitted in their jurisdiction before purchase or transfer.
