DS-25 Modern Fighting Rifle 14.5″ — 6.5 Creedmoor

The Dark Storm Industries DS-25 MFR is a small-frame, large-caliber Modern Fighting Rifle that delivers full-power .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor performance in a platform similar in size and weight to an AR-15. It was developed from the ground up to out-reach, outperform, and outlast conventional rifles.

Starting at the muzzle, the DS-25 MFR features a 14.5″ barrel button-rifled from 416R stainless steel and hand-lapped for match-grade accuracy. The bore is hard chrome lined for extended durability. The reduced reciprocating mass of the AR-15-size bolt carrier, paired with a mid-length gas system and pinned gas block, produces softer felt recoil and reduced gas loss for improved velocity. The 1:7 twist provides improved stability for 130- to 140-grain ammunition from the shorter barrel. The DS-25 MFR 14.5″ 6.5 Creedmoor delivers extended-range performance in a smaller, lighter package.

The DS-25 MFR features a 13″ M-Lok Multi-Lithic™ handguard that connects directly to the upper receiver. This creates a true free-float system with no contact between the handguard and barrel nut, improving consistency when firing from a bipod, barricade, or vertical grip. Twin indexing pins provide an uninterrupted top rail for mounting optics, lasers, and illumination devices.

The Chainlink™ system connects the handguard to the upper and lower receivers through the pivot pin, while four flush-mounted screws secure the handguard to the upper. An aerospace-alloy barrel nut improves thermal dissipation compared with a standard steel barrel nut, allowing a greater round count before comparable thermal shift occurs.

The ATACH™ ambidextrous charging handle with Duo-Lock™ provides a secure grip and uses serviceable steel locking pins. Its wraparound cap helps redirect gas away from the shooter when operating suppressed. The rifle includes a pinned HUXWRX 762-QD flash hider.

The billet lower receiver features full ambidextrous controls for right- and left-handed shooters. The ambidextrous bolt catch locks and releases the bolt carrier group, while the dual ejectors provide consistent ejection. A short-pull, short-reset 3.5 lb. two-stage trigger supports fast, precise operation. The ambidextrous magazine release allows efficient magazine changes from either side.

The bolt carrier group is machined from aircraft-quality steels and uses an advanced tri-layer chrome, nickel, and DLC finish designed to extend service life and operate reliably with minimal lubrication.

The Magpul DT stock adjusts through seven positions on the extended buffer tube, which includes SOCOM-style drain holes and rear vent holes for gas and water evacuation. It is paired with a Magpul K2+ grip. The DS-25 MFR is designed for shooters seeking a smaller, lighter, mid-range semi-automatic rifle with upgraded controls, accuracy, durability, and reliability.
