DS-15 Variant 1 New Jersey Post-Ban Rifle
The DS-15 Variant 1 New Jersey Post-Ban Rifle combines the distinctive design and competition-focused components of the Variant 1 with a configuration purpose-built for New Jersey customers. Built on a precision-matched billet receiver set and finished in Tungsten Cerakote, the Variant 1 features a fixed Magpul stock and pinned and welded DSI Competition Compensator while retaining a detachable 10-round magazine.
Designed by Ed Earle, the Variant 1 features detailed billet receivers, partial ambidextrous controls, a 13-inch M-LOK handguard, and a 16-inch MTOP-profile barrel. A premium two-stage flat-blade trigger with a 3.5 lb pull provides a crisp shooting interface, while the DSI Atach™ ambidextrous charging handle and billet ambidextrous safety selector provide enhanced operation from either side.
The Variant 1 is available in 5.56 NATO and .300 Blackout configurations. The 5.56 NATO platform is offered with 1:9 or 1:7 twist rates and carbine- or mid-length gas systems, while .300 Blackout uses a 1:8 twist and pistol-length gas system.
Current production rifles ship with a Magpul K2 pistol grip.
