DS-15 MFR Dual Ejector DLC Bolt Carrier Group
The DS-15 MFR Dual Ejector DLC Bolt Carrier Group is an in-house manufactured AR-15 BCG engineered around DSI's Mil-Plus specifications. Machined at our Rockledge, Florida facility from U.S.-produced alloy steels, the MFR BCG combines Mil-Spec dimensional compatibility with an enhanced 9310 bolt, dual-ejector configuration, and diamond-like coating (DLC) for increased wear and corrosion resistance.
The bolt uses DSI's enhanced geometry with an increased radius at the rear of the locking lugs to reduce stress concentration at a common failure point. Additional material around the cam-pin area is designed to reduce bolt stretch while maintaining compatibility with standard Mil-Spec bolt carriers and barrel extensions.
Every bolt and carrier is individually inspected throughout the manufacturing process rather than relying on batch inspection. DSI performs more than 100 quality-control checks throughout machining, and components are lot marked to provide traceability of material, machining, heat treatment, and finish.
The bolt and carrier use carburized heat treatment rather than nitriding, with DLC applied to exterior surfaces and Mil-Spec hard chrome retained in critical high-heat and wear areas. Commercial bolts are not high-pressure tested as part of DSI's production process.
