Description
DS-15 NiB Mil-Plus AR-15 Bolt Carrier Group
The DS-15 NiB Mil-Plus Bolt Carrier Group is manufactured in-house at our Rockledge, Florida facility from U.S.-produced alloy steels. Built around Mil-Spec dimensional compatibility, it incorporates DSI's enhanced 9310 bolt geometry, carburized heat treatment, Nickel Boron finishes, and individually inspected components for improved durability and long service life.
The bolt features an increased radius at the rear of the locking lugs to reduce stress concentration at a common failure point, along with additional material around the cam-pin area to help reduce bolt stretch. These geometry changes are designed to increase bolt life while maintaining compatibility with standard Mil-Spec bolt carriers and barrel extensions.
Each bolt carrier group undergoes more than 100 quality-control inspection points throughout the machining process rather than relying on batch inspection. Bolts and carriers are also lot marked to provide traceability of material, machining, heat treatment, and finish.
The bolt and carrier use Mil-Spec carburized heat treatment rather than nitriding. Nickel Boron is used for corrosion resistance, while hard chrome is retained in critical high-heat and wear areas. DSI commercial bolts are not high-pressure tested as part of the production process.
LIFETIME WARRANTY - Fully transferable, with no registration or proof of purchase required.
