Massachusetts Compliant Firearms
Dark Storm Industries offers Fixed Magazine Rifles and Thunderbolt Bolt Action Rifles for the Massachusetts market. These configurations provide two distinct approaches for customers navigating Massachusetts firearm restrictions, including changes associated with Bill H.4135.
DSI Fixed Magazine Rifles use our patented DS-15 fixed-magazine lower receiver, which is manufactured without a magazine-release pocket. Rather than relying on an aftermarket magazine-locking device, the fixed-magazine configuration is built into the receiver itself and uses a permanently affixed 10-round magazine.
This purpose-built receiver design allows the DS-15 platform to retain familiar AR-style ergonomics and features while using a fixed-magazine configuration intended for restricted-state applications such as Massachusetts.
Our Thunderbolt Bolt Action Rifles provide a manually operated alternative. The Thunderbolt is manufactured without a semiautomatic gas system and requires manual operation of the action between shots. It retains DS-15 ergonomics and component compatibility while operating as a bolt-action firearm with a detachable magazine.
