DS-25 Modern Fighting Rifle 14.5" (6.5 Creedmoor)

The Dark Storm Industries DS-25 MFR, is a small frame (AR-15 size and weight), full power cartridge (.308 Win / 6.5 Creedmoor) Modern Fighting Rifle.  It was developed from the ground up to out reach, out perform and out last other rifles.  

Starting at the muzzle, the DS-25 MFR includes a 14.5" barrel, button cut from 416R stainless steel and hand lapped for match grade accuracy.  The bore is hard chrome lined for extended durability.  The reduced reciprocating mass of the AR-15 sized bolt carrier, fed by a mid-length gas system featuring a pinned gas block produces a softer felt recoil with less bleed for increased velocity.  The 1:7 twist provides improved stability for 130-140gr ammunition from the shorter barrel length.  The DS-25 MFR 14.5" 6.5 Creedmoor outperforms a 20" .308 Winchester from 800 to 1200+ yards providing extended reach in a smaller lighter package. 

The DS-25 MFR features a 13" M-Lok Multi-Lithic™ handguard that connects directly to the upper receiver.  This system provides a true free float system with no contact to the barrel nut.  This improves accuracy when firing from a bipod, barricade or with a vertical grip.  The handguard indexes on two pins, providing an uninterrupted rail for mounting longer optics, lasers or illumination.  Our Chainlink™ directly links the handguard to the upper and lower via the pivot pin and four flush mount screws lock the handguard to the upper.  A new aerospace alloy barrel nut improves thermal dissipation by over 400% compared to a standard steel barrel nut.  This allows a four fold increase in the round count before a comparable MOA level of thermal shift occurs.  Rack a round in with the ATACH™ ambidextrous charging handle with Duo-Lock™ for a more secure reliable grip on the serviceable steel lock pins.  The ATACH™ charging handle's wrap around cap blocks any gas to the face from this suppressor ready rifle that includes a pinned HuxWrx 762-QD flash hider. 

The billet lower features true, full ambidextrous controls, for both the offhanded and downhand shooter. The ambi bolt catch locks back and drops the BCG with ease as the dual ejectors pitch your brass in a consistent and repeatable pattern no matter how fast you run the short pull, short reset 3.5lb two-stage trigger. No matter which hand you use, changing the mag is a breeze with the ambi mag release. Faster mag changes keep you in the fight. The bolt carrier group, machined from aircraft quality steels, features an advanced tri-layer chrome nickel DLC finish designed to provide significantly extended wear life and to run reliably without the need for lubricant.

The Magpul DT rifle stock is adjustable to 7 positions on our extended buffer tube, which has the SOCOM drain holes and triple rear vent holes for proper expulsion of gas and water should the fight take you there.
