California Customers – Identity Verification Required
Effective January 1, 2026, California law requires sellers of certain firearm parts and accessories to verify the purchaser’s identity and age prior to shipment.
To complete your order, you will be required to email a valid, government-issued photo ID that matches the shipping information provided at checkout. Orders cannot be processed or shipped until verification is complete.
California Compliant Firearm Configurations
Dark Storm Industries offers multiple firearm configurations specifically for the California market, including Featureless Rifles, Fixed Magazine Rifles, and Bolt Action Rifles.
DSI Fixed Magazine Rifles use our patented DS-15 lower receiver design with no magazine-release pocket machined into the receiver. The fixed-magazine configuration is built directly into the lower rather than relying on an aftermarket magazine lock or removable compliance device, allowing the rifle to retain traditional AR-style ergonomic features while using a permanently affixed 10-round magazine.
Our California Featureless Rifles retain a standard detachable-magazine system while removing or replacing features restricted under California's assault-weapon regulations. DSI featureless configurations use components such as a compliant grip and fixed stock to provide customers with a detachable-magazine DS-15 option.
Our DS-15 Thunderbolt Bolt Action Rifles are purpose-built manually operated firearms with no semi-automatic gas system. They retain familiar AR-style ergonomics and component compatibility while operating as bolt-action firearms rather than semi-automatic rifles.
California customers may also purchase DSI Fixed Magazine Stripped Lower Receivers for compliant builds. Customers interested in assembling a DS-15 platform can also explore our DSI Builder Boxes for matched component packages.
Firearms supplied for California are configured with 10-round magazines where applicable. California firearm laws and local requirements can change, so customers and transferring dealers should confirm that the selected configuration remains permitted in their jurisdiction before transfer.
