DS-15 Thunderbolt 16" Bolt Action Upper Kit
The DS-15 Thunderbolt 16" Bolt Action Upper Kit is a purpose-built bolt action AR upper designed to configure a compatible AR-15 lower as a manually operated bolt-action platform. The Thunderbolt system eliminates the conventional gas-operated cycling system and is available in three configurations depending on how much of the upper assembly you want DSI to supply.
The Full Kit includes the billet Thunderbolt upper receiver, 16-inch 5.56 NATO bolt-action barrel, 13-inch Typhoon M-LOK handguard, Thunderbolt bolt carrier group, premium two-stage flat trigger, and bolt catch delete. A second configuration omits the handguard, allowing the builder to select their own compatible rail system.
A third configuration is available without a barrel or handguard for builders who want to use their own components. This version includes a non-ported .750 gas block designed to cover and block the gas port on a compatible existing barrel. The builder supplies the barrel, bolt, and handguard.
