DS-15 Typhoon Maryland HBAR Rifle

The DS-15 Typhoon Maryland HBAR Rifle combines DSI's precision-matched billet receiver set and partial ambidextrous controls with a purpose-built heavy-barrel configuration for Maryland customers. The Typhoon provides a modern Maryland HBAR AR-15 platform with upgraded billet construction, free-float M-LOK capability, and familiar AR-15 operation.

At the center of the rifle is a 16-inch HBAR-profile 5.56 NATO barrel manufactured from premium 4150 CMV steel. The barrel features a 1:9 twist, carbine- or mid-length gas system, and black nitride heat treatment for durability and corrosion resistance.

The Typhoon's billet upper and lower receivers are machined from U.S.-produced 7075-T651 aluminum and paired with the DSI Atach™ ambidextrous charging handle and billet ambidextrous safety selector. A 13-inch free-float M-LOK handguard provides mounting space for optics and accessories while maintaining the streamlined profile of the Typhoon platform.

Current production rifles use a Magpul DT adjustable stock and Magpul K2 pistol grip.

Flat Dark Earth models will continue to ship with a Hogue overmolded pistol grip until existing inventory is depleted.

Every firearm is hand-assembled and individually tested at our factory in Rockledge, Florida using American-made components and materials.
