DS-15 MFR New Jersey Post-Ban Rifle
The DS-15 MFR New Jersey Post-Ban Rifle combines the full ambidextrous controls, enhanced components, and duty-focused design of the Modern Fighting Rifle with a configuration purpose-built for New Jersey customers. The rifle features a fixed Magpul stock and pinned and welded DSI Competition Compensator while retaining a detachable 10-round magazine.
The MFR was designed from the ground up around reliability, durability, and shooter-focused functionality. Full ambidextrous controls include the charging handle, safety selector, bolt catch and release, and magazine release, allowing the rifle to be operated efficiently from either side.
The 15-inch free-float M-LOK handguard provides a rigid mounting platform for optics and accessories while reducing unnecessary material and weight. A robust barrel nut acts as a heat sink to help transfer heat away from the chamber area, while the DSI Chainlink handguard-to-upper tether and removable stainless indexing dowels help prevent lateral or forward movement.
Under the handguard is a 16-inch MTOP-profile barrel machined from premium 4150 CMV steel and treated with a black nitride finish for durability and corrosion resistance. The rifle is available in 5.56 NATO and .300 Blackout configurations.
The forged 7075 upper receiver incorporates a serviceable steel charging-handle retention pin, countersunk E-clip, and an additional rear Picatinny rail slot. The forged MFR lower provides full ambidextrous operation and is paired with a premium two-stage flat-blade trigger with a 3.5 lb pull and short reset.
The DSI Mil+ dual-ejector bolt carrier group features an ArmorLube nitride/DLC coating designed to reduce friction and wear. The Magpul fixed stock is installed for the New Jersey Post-Ban configuration on DSI's Mil+ buffer system and is paired with a Magpul K2 pistol grip.
The receiver set and handguard are Type III hardcoat anodized and finished with Cerakote Gen 2 IR signature-reduction coating for reduced infrared reflectivity under night-vision illumination.
