Non-NFA Firearms

Dark Storm Industries offers a dedicated line of Non-NFA Firearms — designed to deliver tactical performance while remaining outside the scope of the National Firearms Act. With an overall length greater than 26 inches, these platforms do not require a tax stamp and are not classified as short-barreled rifles or AOWs under federal law.

This configuration is ideal for residents in unrestricted states, as well as New Jersey, Virginia, and Delaware, where standard DS-15 rifles may be restricted but Non-NFA alternatives remain legal. These firearms retain the full DS-15 platform feel while avoiding the delays and restrictions of NFA classification.

Important Notice:

• The DS-15 Non-NFA Firearm Typhoon does not fall under the definition of an “Assault Weapon” in New Jersey, Virginia, or Delaware and is legal in those states.
• It is not legal in Massachusetts, New York, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington State, or Washington, D.C.
• It is not a rifle, as it does not have a stock and is not designed to be fired from the shoulder.
• It is not a pistol, as it has a 12.5-inch barrel and features a vertical forward grip, and is designed to be fired with two hands.
• It is not an AOW, as it has an overall length greater than 26 inches, is not designed to be fired from the shoulder, and features a vertical forward grip.
• It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable state and local laws.
